The inaugural cycle of PISA for Schools in India has successfully concluded, marking a significant step in aligning Indian education with global benchmarks. Thousands of 15-year-olds from pioneering schools participated in this prestigious assessment, gaining valuable insights into their learning outcomes.
Building on this success, Cycle 2 is set to be even more impactful, with participation from some of India’s most forward-thinking schools. Registrations for Cycle 2 of the PISA-Based Test for Schools (PBTS) in India are now open. We invite your school to join this transformative initiative and gain international perspectives on student learning and school performance.

Why PISA for Schools?

The launch of PISA for Schools in India will usher in a new era of education and assessment, by allowing schools to independently participate in the assessment program and receive feedback on their students' performance compared to that of other schools around the world. This will help schools identify their strengths and weaknesses, make informed improvements, and align with international education standards.

Additionally, PISA for Schools will drive the effective implementation of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, advocating for competency-based education, international benchmarks, and a global framework in Indian schools.
